Charities | Medford Community Family's Buddy Coholan Memory Loss Center

The Community Family, Inc., a 25 year-old leader in services to elders and an innovator recognized by the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association, developed the Buddy Coholan Center in Medford, Massachusetts. The Center, which opened for service in the fall of 1999, was designed specifically for individuals diagnosed with dementia, Alzheimer's or other irreversible memory disorders.

The new Center offers a successful, engaging environment where participants experience a positive, secure, homelike atmosphere that encourages independence. The newly renovated building features comforting and colorful interiors. The staff worked with the Center's architect and designers to create an environment that engages participants and promotes a sense of safety and well being, focusing on a successful experience.

The Center is a historically registered 18th century building (formerly a train station) that sits on an acre of land and features a secure outdoor garden and walking paths. Located in a quiet, residential area, the Center is only minutes from Routes 93, 60, 16 and 28 for easy accessibility.
